Zion's December Calendar is filled with activities for the season. Our church family offers you a warm welcome to all that is happening.

December 3 –ADVENT I We light the first Advent Candle 10 a.m. and the service will have both singing in Finnish and English, prayer and elements of remembrance for our Finnish family members who will be celebrate Finland Day of Independence on the 6th. Fellowship following worship will include Finnish rice pudding (Riisipuuro) with fruit soup.

Also, after worship stay to hear how we hope to fund the wonderful ministry that is offered at Zion for the work of God in our community and throughout the world. The 2024 budget will be presented and nominations will be open for Church Council.

December 9 – A NATIVITIES DISPLAY - An event for the community at Zion. Pastor Brad will exhibit his large collection throughout the sanctuary from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and in the narthex, a BAKE SALE will offer Christmas favourites of cookies, *Pulla*, and cinnamon rolls. Enter through the Upton Road Accessible entrance.

December 10 – ADVENT II You are invited to bring your personal nativities to 10 a.m. Worship for “show and tell” and a blessing of the nativities.
​
December 13 - HOLDEN EVENING PRAYER SERVICE on ST. LUCY NIGHT at 7 p.m.
And during the hours 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Zion will service as depot for Christmas Cheer distribution.
Volunteers needed.

December 17 – ADVENT III Please bring in all Christmas contributes for Pauline’s Place Manna Basket. Christmas Delivery is planned for after worship.

December 24 – ADVENT IV Worship at 10 a.m. at 1643 Wellington E as we light the 4th candle with our friend at Emmaus Anglican Church.

December 24 - Christmas Eve at Zion at 7 p.m. corner of Wellington and Upton.
We welcome all for a beautiful service featuring candlelight, communion, and carols.

At the Ontario Finnish Rest Home Complex on North Steet at Kotitalo (assisted living) OR if closed to public for health quarantine, at Suomi Eesti Maja, the apartments building.
English Language Service - Emmaus Anglican welcomes you to a Christmas Morning service at 10 a.m. 1634 Wellington E.

December 31 -CHRISTMAS ONE at Zion, 189 Upton Road.
Come ready to hear a Christmas Story and enjoy singing carols on New Year’s Eve Day. 10 a.m.
